How does the LVL Lash Lift work?

To create the Length Volume Lift effect, our lash-health first products are applied step-by-step by a qualified lash artist. Following on from your patch test and consultation, the lash artist will apply the appropriate shape shield to your eyelid and your lashes will be pressed against this using a bonding gel.

Step 1: Lift

With all the lashes neatly bonded, a lifting balm is then applied which allows the structure and shape of your lashes to change and be lifted at the root

Step 2: Volumise

Once this has been removed, a 2-in-1 volumising fix and tint is applied, sealing your lashes into their new shape and adding volume and definition.

Step 3: Balance

A pH balancing serum is applied to the lashes, strengthening from within and coating from the outside to help protect, increase shine and prevent over-processing.

Step 4: Moisturise

Finally, a moisturising serum is applied to nourish the lashes, help lock in tint colour and ease them off the shield, revealing beautifully healthy, lifted lashes. Enriched with a film former, it helps to instantly hold the new curl while your lashes are still settling into place.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between LVL and a Lash Lift?

LVL is a trademarked treatment and formula. Developed by and formulated for Nouveau Lashes. It is not available to those who are trained in Lash Lifts elsewhere, only beauty professionals who have trained with and are certified by Nouveau Lashes can perform and purchase LVL. It is the revolutionary, original lash lifting treatment that is exclusive to Nouveau Lashes, and the results are outstanding.

What is Lower LVL?

Lower LVL is an additional treatment you can have to your lower lashes, while getting your  LVL done. Just like an upper LVL, Lower LVL uses the same 4-step treatment process to define and create the illusion of longer lower lashes. Bonding Gel and Lifting Balm are applied, followed by a lash tint to darken the lower lashes and add volume and depth. Finally, Moisturising Serum is applied to nourish the lower lashes and ease them off the shield. Lower LVL also helps to balance out fuller top lashes (for those with or without extensions) as well as open the eye and make it appear larger.

This additional treatment is an ideal solution for people with natural lower lashes that appear crisscrossed or that lay very close to the under-eye skin often resulting in mascara (if worn) transferring to the skin. A Lower LVL will correct crisscross lashes, fan them out and lift them with a subtle  curve away from the skin. This treatment is the latest lash lifting trend that helps to accentuate the eyes even more.

Does LVL lash lift damage your natural lashes?

Our exclusive LVL CeraLashLift products have been developed by us to minimise the risk of damage. Packed with caring ingredients like vegan-friendly ceramides and keratin alternatives, every step of the treatment helps to care for, strengten and protect the health of your natural lashes. Please ensure you go to a Nouveau Lashes trained technician using our Salon Finder.

Can I get a LVL Lash Lift with short lashes?

Yes, LVL is suitable for all types of lash length, including short lashes. In fact, LVL is perfect for short lashes because it makes your natural lashes appear longer by lifting them from the root. Whether your natural lashes are long, short, thick, or stubborn, LVL is a great alternative to lash extensions and perfect for enhancing what you already have.

Does an LVL Lash Lift hurt?

No, LVL Lash Lift does not hurt. LVL is a pain-free, low-maintenance treatment, but if you feel any discomfort during your appointment, please let your lash artist know.

Can you still wear mascara with an LVL?

Although an LVL treatment includes a lash tint which helps to create the appearance of longer and thicker lashes without the need for mascara, it’s still completely safe to wear should you wish to enhance the results further. However, we recommend following our aftercare advice and waiting until 48 hours after your treatment.

Can you get an LVL treatment wet?

For the first 48 hours after your treatment, avoid getting your eye area wet. This is because your eyelashes can take up to 48 hours to lock into place and if they get hot or wet, the lift will drop. After this time period, there are no restrictions with an LVL lash lift, so you can continue to shower, swim and use saunas without protecting your eye area.

Is there an age limit to have an LVL lash lift?

LVL is perfect from the age of 16 upwards. However you must check with your Lash Artist and may need parental consent if under 18.
