What are the LVL Hybrid Smart Shields?
Made from soft, flexible silicone, these naturally adhering shields can be adhered to the eyelid without the need for glue; that means quicker application, cleaning and removal, as well as less risk of slipping. The high-flat hybrid shape (think L curl) provides a beautifully balanced curl and lift.
We’ve kept the 3D tab from our original LVL Smart Shields that allows for easy positioning and removal and made the central line super clear to assist with placement. However, there is one key feature we have changed from our original LVL Smart Shields: grooves. The LVL Hybrid Smart Shields feature a smooth surface that allows for flexible lash placement and a great alternative for those that didn’t love the grooves.
The main goal with these shields is to offer you even more options in how you carry out your LVL treatments.
L-curl lash lift shields
Unlike our Shields and LVL Smart Shields that have a round C-curl shape, the LVL Hybrid Smart Shields have an L-curl barrel shape.
L-curl shields have a flat base with a sharp upward angle, giving a more dramatic lift and creating a beautiful wide-eyed look. Although this curl suits all lashes, it works particularly well for those with naturally straight lashes, downward pointing lashes and thick or coarse lash types, as well as those with hooded eyes, as it prevents lashes curling too far back, avoiding contact with the browbone and eyelid.
LVL Hybrid Smart Shield sizes
The LVL Hybrid Smart Shields come in five sizes: Extra Small, Small, Medium, Medium Large and Large. They are available in single size packs or a mixed size pack where you can try one of each size.
When selecting which shield size to use on a client, as a rule of thumb, place the shield on to the clients' eye and pull the lashes up and on to the shield. The best size is likely to have a roughly 1mm gap between the tip of the lash and the tip of the barrel.
