With all of us spending a lot more time at home, it’s normal to feel a bit stuck in a rut. If you’re a lash artist, you’ll be missing your salons and clients – who are often close friends. But don’t worry, there’s so many things you can do at home that will spark your creativity. Lacking a little bit of motivation? Read our tips on how you can still boost your business at home.
Plan Your Goals
Check in with your business goals. Are you happy with your progress to date? If you haven’t made any goals in a while, now is a good time to re-focus. Motivate yourself and create some new ones! Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Do you want to learn a new skill? Perhaps you’re looking to increase your brand awareness? Write down your goals – you’ll be more likely to work towards them.
Set Up A Loyalty Scheme
Why not set up a loyalty scheme to reward your clients? It’s your chance to show them how much you care! You could set up a scheme where clients can accumulate points each time they visit, which could lead to a free treatment or discounts off your product range. Whatever you decide, it’s your way of giving something back.
Stay in touch with your clients
Your lovely loyal customers will be craving normality right now, so continue to share your transformational lash results on your social platforms! As well as keeping your content consistent and getting your branding on point, share product recommendations and reviews that your clients have left previously. This will be a welcome distraction for your customers, and you might recommend products that they normally wouldn’t consider. Make sure that you talk about any promotions or discounts that you currently have on (or will do in the future). It’s also a good idea to create a list of clients who have asked to be notified when your treatments resume. So many of your clients will be excited to return to your salon, and it’s good to get organised. Finally, why not run a competition on social? This could be a giveaway, discount off a future treatment, or maybe a raffle (you could even ask for a small fee per ticket). Boost Your Creativity
Fancy taking your photography skills to the next level? You could use this time to become an expert in Lightroom, or maybe get creative with flatlays at home! Canva is also a brilliant graphic design platform that allows users to create social media graphics, posters and other visual content. It’s free to create an account and is loved by beginners and experts!
Get Social Media Savvy
While you’re at home, it’s the perfect time to get ahead with your social media content! What do your followers engage with the most? Is your content consistent? Now you’ve probably got some time on your hands, figure these things out – it will keep you busy! If you’re looking to get more organised, Hootsuite is a fantastic social media management platform to keep everything in one place. Later is also the #1 scheduling platform for Instagram, which has a free option.
Practise Your Lash Skills
Now is a great time to practise your lash artist skills! Grab any inanimate object in your home (or maybe a betty head if you have one) and get started.
